NAPAS election results

The NAPAS departmental election for 2025/26 commenced at 11:40 a.m with eligible voters arriving at the polling venue to exercise their franchise. Voting began in an orderly manner as election officials coordinated the accreditation process and distributed login credentials to voters, enabling them to access the electronic voting platform.



Throughout the exercise, election observers monitored the process and documented key developments. While voting generally proceeded peacefully, there were periods of technical challenges, including poor network connectivity that temporarily disrupted access to the voting website, leaving some voters unable to cast their ballots. These delays resulted in complaints from several voters regarding the slow pace of the voting process. At one point, voting was temporarily suspended to address the technical issues before later resuming.

An incident was also noted in which an agent of kehinde,one of the aspirants of the office of the librarian was seen attempting to persuade voters in the queue to vote for her preferred candidate. In another instance, a voter jumped the queue and cast his vote after apologizing to the voter next in line. Despite these isolated occurrences, the election remained largely peaceful, with no major security concerns recorded.

Voting officially closed at exactly 6:00 p.m.Following the close of voting, the Electoral Chairman commenced the declaration of results. The results of aspirant who contested unopposed were announced verbally by the Electoral Chairman. Thereafter, the results of aspirants who contest against opponents were displayed on the projection screen for everyone present to view.Out of 535 eligible voters,179 votes were recorded.

Treasurer – Benedicta Ijeoma: 179 votes

Public Relations Officer (PRO) – Idowu Regina: 179 votes

Public Liaison Officer (PLO) – Godwin Peter: 179 votes

Director of Sports – Opeyemi Emmanuel: 179 votes

Welfare Director – Ogunlana Omoyeni: 179 votes

Following the announcement and display of all results, the Electoral Chairman officially declared the election concluded. The entire electoral process came to an end at 6:17 p.m.
