Before proceedings officially began, Congressman Farouk moved a motion to suspend the quorum requirement, which stipulates that at least 30 congressmen must be present before congress can commence. The motion was seconded by Congressman Adesola . With the motion adopted, Mr. President, Adedeji Sefiu , officially declared the congress open. Noting the absence of several executives, he requested reports from the available office holders and asked each to brief the congress on the activities and needs of their respective offices.
