Upon resumption, the session opened with a prayer by one of the honorables, followed by the school anthem. The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adegbuyi Ayokanmi, apologized for the delay. Kesh, a 400-level student, currently serves as the class representative, a role he took on out of a sincere desire to serve his classmates and strengthen communication between students and lecturers. The event kicked off at 9:00 a.m. with an opening prayer led by Musbahudeen Faruk, a Part One student, followed by the National Anthem and the Great Ife Anthem, setting a respectful and spirited tone for the day. Freshers were formally introduced and warmly received by the department, after which an interactive game, “Two Truths and One Lie,” helped lighten the atmosphere and encourage social bonding. By Omenihu Victoria The Sahara Desert is the largest hot desert in the world, stretching across 11 countries in North Africa, including Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Sudan, and Tunisia. Covering roughly 9.2 million square kilometers, it is almost as big as the United States. Its landscape is a breathtaking mix of golden sand dunes, rocky plateaus, gravel plains, and dry riverbeds, giving the desert a unique and sometimes otherworldly appearance. The climate is extreme: daytime temperatures often rise above 50°C (122°F), while nights can be bitterly cold, sometimes dropping below freezing.   Despite the harsh environment, the Sahara has supported human life for thousands of years. Nomadic communities such as the Tuareg and Berbers have traversed the desert for generations, traveling with camels and relying on their knowledge of the land. “Delayed Sitting, Heated Exchanges, and Tough Decisions” — Inside Yesterday’s Parliamentary Session

The meeting was scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM but eventually commenced at 1:22 PM, raising concerns among members. At about 1:00 PM, Napasite Adebayo raised a question regarding the delay. In response, the Speaker explained that many members of the Executive Council were not yet present. Napasite Segun also expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation. Shortly afterward, the Speaker instructed members to move to Napasite Parlour for a brief discussion, attributing the delay to the unavailability of the venue. As of 1:18 PM, the President, Deputy Speaker, and Clerk were still not present. The sitting officially began at 1:22 PM. The speaker apologized for the delay, citing venue challenges as the reason. Sultan Hails Ooni For Establishing Varsity

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, have charged Nigerians to pray for leaders of government and traditional rulers in charge of the affairs of the people in different communities in the country. The two traditional rulers spoke in Ile-Ife, Osun State on Saturday at the unveiling of the Ojaja University, Ile-Ife campus. Audit Delay Stalls Renewal as NAPAS Holds First Congress of the Semester

  On December 3rd, the first congress sitting of the semester was conducted at the Administration Extension. The Congress officially commenced at exactly 2:20 PM and was presided over by the President. The opening prayer was taken by Congresswoman Tofunmi, followed by the recitation of the school anthem. The President called for the temporary suspension of Section 62 of the Constitution. The motion to suspend the section was moved by Congressman Toheeb and supported by Congressman Adetunji. Congressman Ayokanmi inquired about the absence of the General Secretary after being sworn in. The President explained that the General Secretary had informed him unofficially that she would not be available. The adoption of the agenda was then moved by Congressman Faruk and supported by Congressman Ayokanmi.
