SUMMITING SUCCESS: NAPAS FRESHERS EMBRACE THE MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE

The mountaineering event, slated for a 7 a.m. start, eventually commenced a few minutes to 9 a.m, almost two hours later than planned. Despite the delayed start, the experience unfolded with a spirited atmosphere as participants commenced their walk from Anglomoz, accompanied by uplifting music in the background.

Gathering at the angolmoz  station, participants led by the energetic host MC, DammyCares, awaited the remaining attendees. The walk up the mountain commenced in pairs, reaching the mountain at 8:53, where the official event began at 9:00.

The event's inauguration began with a solemn opening prayer led by PLO Sammy, followed by a rendition of the school anthem. The Master of Ceremonies extended greetings to esteemed guests, acknowledging the president, vice president, PLO, DoS, and other departmental executives. Notably, the Public Voice was also recognized for their presence and contributions.

The Chief Editor of Public Voice, Emmanuel Aluko, delivered a speech on behalf of the president, highlighting the event's core purpose: fostering togetherness and unity among different class cohorts within the department—Convalis (part 4), Polyhistor (part 3), Hypatios (part 2), and the enthusiastic newcomers, Gladiators (part 1).

As the day progressed, an array of engaging activities unfolded. Participants indulged in lively games like "Who Would You Rather," where camaraderie and laughter flourished. The spirited "Grab" game concluded with Adeola triumphantly securing a durag prize.

The event was not only about physical challenges but also a showcase of talents. Adeola, Kemi, and Elizabeth graced the gathering with melodious renditions during the talent show, followed by an exhilarating dancing competition that saw Ife emerging victorious.

Amidst the festivities, refreshments were shared, energizing the participants for the remainder of the event. A special performance by O.P.Y added a touch of excitement, captivating the audience and further heightening the event's celebratory mood.

In a closing address, the president expressed gratitude to the executives, Public Voice, and the freshers for their active participation, deeming the outing a success.
