EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH ADEOYE PHOEBE

PV: Can we meet you?

Adeoye Phoebe: My name is Adeoye Phoebe oluwadamilola, a part one student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), from the department of Public Administration

PV: Thank you. In few words , can you please share your experience during the inter-faculty debate .

Adeoye Phoebe: Hmmmmm,

Actually it was a competitive one, but all thanks to God. The first stage of the debate was a departmental debate within the faculty. During the departmental debate, the other departments representative were also intelligent, so I wasn't so sure I could win. Eventually after the debate the scores were announced and I came first. I was overwhelmed. I moved on to compete with 12 other Faculties. When we started the debate I was like "This people know book ooooo"

But with God's grace I moved on to the top six. It got to a point I was scared and that was during the impromptu debate, where we were given topic to prepare on within two minutes without phone and we were to think on a point.

After the impromptu debate I was among the top three winners. All glory to God, but we were told the winner would be announced the following day at the Symposium organized by the Great Ife student union

During the Symposium, the winner was announced and I came third

It was a sweet competition indeed.

PV: Thank you . What stood out for you during the debate.

Adeoye Phoebe: Thanks for the question,

Only God stood out for me, He gave me the courage I needed and also blessed me with great executives from the department of Public Administration, who didn't sleep just for me to be at the top in the debate competition.

PV: Kudos to the executive of Public Administration !

Would you like to continue representing the faculty in and outside OAU?

Adeoye Phoebe: If given the opportunity, I would always love to represent the faculty in and out of OAU.

PV: Great ! what's your Advise to people that would also love to go for debates in future .

Adeoye Phoebe: My sincere Advise to people that would also love to go for debates in future, is that they should put God first, Listen to instructions and guidelines given by superiors and experts not excluding building up courage.

PV: Thank you very much for your time ma'am ,that will be all .
