DISAPPOINTED BEGINNING: FRESHER'S FRUSTRATION DUE TO LATE EVENT KICKOFF

Picture this: an event everyone was hyped about during Freshers' Week, meant to start at 7 a.m., but it didn't kick off until almost 9 a.m. The excitement that was bubbling earlier turned into disappointment as the minutes ticked by. The delay threw a wrench in everyone's plans, leaving the freshers who were all geared up feeling let down. It wasn't just about being a bit late – it felt like no one really cared about keeping to time or had value for the excitement everyone was going to bring. The impact of this late start was pretty obvious. Those who made the effort to show up felt a bit deflated, and honestly, it kind of justified why some didn't bother to come at all. The vibe at the delayed start? Well, let's just say it was a mix of 'meh' and 'seriously?' What made it worse? It's been over a week and there's been no apology or explanation as to why there was a delay in the commencement of the event. That lack of acknowledgment left...

BEYOND BOUNDARIES: BRINGING FRESHERS AND STALITES TOGETHER AT PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION'S FRESHER WEEK

The fun-filled game day hosted by the Department of Public Administration during Freshers Week took place in the wide-open space of the Faculty of Administration's basement on Friday the 1st of December 2023 at 3pm. The event which was initially meant for students in the department of Public Administration, pleasantly surprised us by attracting students from other departments within the Faculty. The basement became an exciting hub for a FIFA tournament, where students, armed with PlayStation 4 and 5 controllers, engaged in spirited matches. What started as a friendly competition within our department soon expanded, drawing in more players from different parts of the Faculty. Alongside the digital gaming buzz, there were classic games like Ayo Olopon, Ludo, Whot cards, Table Tennis, and Jenga bricks. The room echoed with laughter and friendly competition, making it easy for students to connect, no matter which department they were from. The unexpected gathering in this unconventio...
