The Public Administration football team has secured their place in the final of the Humanities Continental Cup after a tense semifinal clash against the Philosophy team. The match had everything—intensity, controversy, and a thrilling penalty shootout that ended 5-4 in favor of NAPAS. From the kickoff, it was clear that both teams came prepared. The game was tightly contested, making it hard to predict a winner. However, Philosophy struck first, taking an early lead and putting NAPAS under pressure. Despite multiple attempts, Public Administration couldn’t find the equalizer before halftime, and they went into the break trailing 0-1. This makes it five wins in five matches, proving their dominance in the competition. A Game of Comfort With their spot in the semifinals already secured, today’s match was more of a luxury for NAPAS. Win, draw, or lose—it wouldn’t have changed their qualification. As a result, the team stepped onto the pitch without pressure, simply enjoying the game. Welcoming the Future: Highlights from the Maiden FADSA Freshers’ Symposium

The Faculty of Administration Students Association (FADSA) hosted its maiden Freshers’ Symposium today, Friday, January 17, 2025, at ICAN Lecture Theatre, Obafemi Awolowo University. The event, which started around 11 AM, was designed to welcome and guide new students as they begin their academic journey. The symposium began with a warm welcome from the Vice President of FADSA, Jimoh Jumoke, who officially opened the event. This was followed by the recitation of the Nigerian and OAU anthems. Afterwards, the entire FADSA executive team was introduced, from the President to the Assistant General Secretary, giving freshers a chance to meet their student leaders. Public Admin on Fire! Third Straight Win Sparks Excitement

The Public Administration team showed they were serious by arriving early at the pitch. They started warming up and practicing while waiting for the Geography team to show up. By 12:25 PM, the referee blew the whistle, and the match began. First Half: Admin on Fire It didn’t take long for the Public Admin team to show they meant business. Just five minutes in, they scored their first goal with a smooth play that left the Geography defense helpless. The goal gave the team a lot of confidence, and they kept putting pressure on the Geography side. Not long after, they scored again, making it 2-0. The Admin players were clearly in charge during the first half, moving the ball well and breaking down the Geography team’s defense easily. The referee eventually called for a break around the 30th minute so both teams could rest and come up with new plans.
