THE NEW CLASS REPRESENTATIVE IN NAPAS

PV: My name is Soyoye Oreoluwa from Public Voice.

Can i meet you?

Phoebe: My name is Adeoye Phoebe Oluwadamilola, a part one student of the department of Public Administration.

PV: What motivated you to run for the position of class representative?

Phoebe: The leadership spirit in me was a motivation for me to run for the position of class representative. I was actually scared at first that 'would I be voted for? Then i decided not due to the fear of rejection, But i got motivated by people around me to go out and run for the post, which i did and eventually emerged as the Class representative.

PV: How do you envision improving the student experience of this class at this time?

Phoebe: To answer the question of how to improve the students experience of the class at this time, I would begin by reflecting on the student experience in the class so far. I would ask myself questions like: What has worked well in the class so far? What aspects of the class could be improved? What would make the class more engaging and enjoyable for students? Based on my reflections, I would then brainstorm some specific ideas for improving the student experience. I would consider both small changes that could be made immediately, as well as more long-term goals. Finally, I would prioritize the ideas and put them into action.

PV: What are your plans to address concerns or issues raised by you classmates?

Phoebe: I would address the issues raised by my classmates by first acknowledging their concerns and thanking them for bringing them to my attention. I would then explain the steps I plan to take to address the issues. For example, if the issue was a lack of communication between classmates, I might explain that I plan to create a private group chat for the class or send out regular updates via email. I would also be open to any other suggestions my classmates might have for addressing the issues. My goal would be to make sure everyone in the class feels heard and that their concerns are being taken seriously.

PV: How do you plan to balance your responsibilities as a class representative with your primary duties as a student?

Phoebe: I would plan to balance my responsibilities as a class representative and my primary duty as a student by setting boundaries and priorities. For example, I would make sure to set aside specific times for completing my class representative duties and devote the rest of my time to studying. I would also make sure to communicate with my lecturers and my classmates about my availability and any potential conflicts that might arise. Overall, I would aim to be organized, efficient, and communicative in order to balance my responsibilities in both roles.

PV: Do you think you will lead the class towards cooperation and development during your time?

Phoebe: I believe that I can lead the class to development and cooperation by setting a positive example and creating an inclusive and supportive environment. I would strive to be respectful and considerate of everyone's ideas and perspectives, and I would encourage open and honest communication. I would also create opportunities for the class to work together on projects, assignments, and discussions. I would focus on building trust and a sense of community within the class, and I would celebrate our successes together. Ultimately, I believe that by working together, we can achieve great things.

PV: what should NAPASITES and your classmates be expecting from you as the class rep?

Phoebe: NAPASITES and the class should expect me to be a strong advocate for the needs and interests of the class. I will be responsive to any concerns or feedback that the class has, and I will work to communicate effectively and efficiently. I will also strive to be a positive role model for the class and to promote a sense of cooperation and community. I will make sure to keep the class informed of any relevant updates and to follow through on any commitments that I make. In short, NAPAS and the class can expect me to be a dependable and reliable representative.

PV: Any shout-out?

Phoebe: Shout-out to my number 1 fan ever since I got to this campus, 'Yusuf Najat(The class rep of part 4)'. Shout out to The NAPAS Executives and also my fellow Administrators for giving me the opportunity to be their representative.
