"What Was Suspended? Confusion as President Halts Protocol Without Clarity and Vanishes"

Farm In what was expected to be a smooth congressional sitting of the National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPAS), Obafemi Awolowo University, the June 2nd session quickly spiraled into a storm of confusion, constitutional controversy, and procedural uncertainty — further aggravated by a troublingly low turnout. The meeting kicked off at exactly 3:20 PM with an opening prayer by Congressman Samuel. The tension, however, wasn’t far behind. In a move that stunned the house, the presiding officer — NAPAS President himself — proposed the suspension of a constitutional provision: the section enforcing quorum. His proposal was immediately challenged by Congresswoman Shukroh Adebayo, who argued that the issue was not constitutional enforcement but the poor attendance itself, suggesting instead that the meeting be suspended. Congressman Emmanuel responded with constitutional clarity, emphasizing that no part of the NAPAS constitution could be suspended under any circumstance...

The match, which took place under a buzzing atmosphere, lived up to its billing. Theophilus opened the scoring for Part Two, and they doubled their lead with a second goal before the break, taking advantage of defensive lapses. However, the tide shifted completely in the second half. With their backs against the wall, the Part One team returned from the break more focused and determined. Their attacking brilliance finally paid off, led by a standout performance from Olawale, who scored twice and assisted the third goal, completed by Allison. It was a comeb...

The Wait That Hurts More Than Exams: OAU’s Result Delay Problem Unpacked!

By Olayemi Abisola, Adams-Charles Gift At Obafemi Awolowo University, exams are not just a routine— they're a full-blown spiritual, emotional, and physical battle. Once the exam timetable drops, campus transforms. The usually buzzing hostels fall eerily silent, lecture theatres become all-night camps, and TDB (Till Day Break) turns from a meme into a lifestyle. Slippers drag across pavements, eyeballs are sunken, and energy drinks become sacraments. You’ll find students rehearsing definitions in parking lots, debating theories in corridors, and offering desperate prayers like “God of the 11th hour, locate me.” Everything becomes a last-minute hustle to escape academic damnation. Then comes D-Day. The walk to the exam hall feels like a pilgrimage. People hum under their breath, cram furiously in corners, and prepare to face whatever demons the question paper may hold. And when you finally sit, time begins to lie. You blink, and it's "Thirty minutes more!" But here...

3-2 Thriller! Public Admin’s Shocking Victory Sends Warning Before HOD’s Cup!

By Segun Emmanuel Akintunde, Public Voice News Agency As the countdown to the prestigious HOD’s Cup begins, the Part 3 students of the Department of Public Administration—known by their moniker, Class of Hypatios —kicked off their preparations in style with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over their counterparts from the Department of Sociology. The friendly, played yesterday at the School Main Bowl, was anything but casual. Sociology struck first, catching the Administrators cold with an early goal that sent a ripple through the Public Admin bench. But it didn’t take long for the tide to turn. Senior Man , known for his cheeky footwork and unpredictable finishing, delivered what looked like a hopeful cross—only for the ball to curve sharply and nestle into the top corner. Equalizer. Stadium stunned. Match on. The comeback gained momentum when a clumsy challenge on Jubril in the box handed Public Administration a golden opportunity. Young John , calm as ice, stepped up and made no ...

The Election Is Coming; But Are Your Candidates Legit? Attendance Rule Under the Spotlight.

By Public Voice News Agency The recent pre-election period has cast a glaring spotlight on an issue that threatens the integrity of the National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPAS): a significant number of aspiring candidates for executive and parliamentary positions do not meet the constitutionally mandated attendance requirement . According to the NAPAS Constitution, Article V, Section 34, Subsection (II) , every candidate vying for executive offices or seats in the House of Parliament must have attended at least 50% of congressional sittings , except for first-year and new Direct Entry students participating in by-elections. This clause is not a bureaucratic technicality. It is a fundamental safeguard designed to ensure that only dedicated, informed, and engaged members qualify for leadership . Meeting this attendance threshold means a candidate has actively participated in the association’s key decision-making forums, demonstrating commitment, awareness, and a...
