The grand finale of the Humanities Continental Cup took place on Wednesday, February 6, at the Obafemi Awolowo University Mainbowl, where the undefeated Public Administration team faced off against a determined Business Administration side. Both teams came in with high energy, knowing that only one would leave as champions. The match exploded into action early on, with Public Administration striking first. Their star forward and tournament top scorer, Mubarak (Mubby), found the net after a well-placed assist from Ola, setting off wild celebrations.   The second edition of the NAPAS Marathon took place this morning, kicking off at the Faculty of Administration, looping through the Maintenance shortcut, and returning to the starting point. The event saw an exciting turnout, with participants from all levels—Part 1 to Part 4—eager to compete. As the race began, some inexperienced runners took off at sprinting speed, a mistake that cost many of them dearly as fatigue set in before the first lap was completed. Despite receiving tips from the defending champion and current Sports Director, many new runners ignored his advice, learning the hard way that a marathon is more about endurance than speed. The turning point of the race came at the Local Government Bus Stop during the second lap when Part 4 student Hojutex surged ahead, taking the lead and never looking back. The Public Administration football team has secured their place in the final of the Humanities Continental Cup after a tense semifinal clash against the Philosophy team. The match had everything—intensity, controversy, and a thrilling penalty shootout that ended 5-4 in favor of NAPAS. From the kickoff, it was clear that both teams came prepared. The game was tightly contested, making it hard to predict a winner. However, Philosophy struck first, taking an early lead and putting NAPAS under pressure. Despite multiple attempts, Public Administration couldn’t find the equalizer before halftime, and they went into the break trailing 0-1. Win, draw, or lose—it wouldn’t have changed their qualification. As a result, the team stepped onto the pitch without pressure, simply enjoying the game.
