The Semester’s Second Sitting: A Day of Budget Reviews and Heated Reactions

The second parliamentary sitting of the semester was held yesterday, 27th November 2025, at the Administration Extension, The sitting was scheduled to begin at 2:00pm, but by 2:26pm, the Speaker had not yet addressed the House. The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adegbuyi Ayokanmi, eventually apologized at 2:32pm for the delayed commencement. The opening prayer was led by Napasite Joel Salako, followed by the school anthem. Roll call followed, starting with the Gallerians and moving down to the Honourables. The Clerk of the House read the minutes of the last sitting. A correction was raised by Napasite Segun, who asked the Speaker who compiled the minutes. The Clerk confirmed that she had done so. He noted that the keynote presentation jointly delivered by himself and Napasite Joel was omitted. Public Voice News Agency Inducts New Members for the 2024/25 Session

The Public Voice News Agency held its 2024/2025 induction ceremony yesterday, 21 st November, the ceremony opened with a prayer, followed by the school anthem, setting a calm and official tone for the afternoon. The Editor-in-Chief, Olamilekan Oluwatofunmi, welcomed the newly admitted members and congratulated them for successfully passing through the agency’s screening stages, which included both examinations and interviews. She explained that the agency serves as a training ground where members learn to ask the right questions, document events across campus, and develop the discipline required for responsible journalism. According to her, Public Voice provides a space for young reporters to understand the value of curiosity and accuracy while learning how to tell the stories unfolding around them. The Department of Public Administration , Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife , on  November 11, 2025 , organized a memorable Retirement and Send-Forth Ceremony in honor of  Professor Matthew Olu Okotoni , a distinguished scholar, administrator, and mentor whose career has profoundly shaped the department and the university at large.
