From lively block parties to weekend getaways and spontaneous hostel hangouts, students here certainly know how to have a good time. But as these events grow bigger and louder, some are beginning to ask, Are we still having fun, or has it become just too much? For many students, the vibrant energy on campus is part of what makes OAU unique. It’s a place where people don’t just study, they live. And part of that living involves music, movement, and making memories. Social events offer a chance to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy life outside of books. However, not everyone sees it that way. Some students feel the social scene is beginning to look more like a competition.
